Side-Effects Of Aloe Vera - You must know before using it !

Hello friends !!!

In the last two articles, I had told you about Health benefits of Aloe Vera.Aloe Vera is good for beauty and health. But, as I have told you, consuming anything just after reading or watching anywhere can be dangerous if we have half info.

A coin has two sides and anything even if natural can cause side-effects or harms. I always recommend my readers to be cautious about side-effects of  anything you consume or apply. Aloe Vera is acclaimed to be useful for beauty and medicinal uses. But, there are still not much evidences available to support it. Researches are still going on and more studies are needed. If one study shows it is beneficial for beauty or health, another research opposes it.

Today, I will tell you about side-effects of Aloe Vera.

So, let's begin...

    HARMFUL  SIDE-EFFECTS  OF   ALOE VERA

1). Drug Contradiction :-

If you are on some treatment or taking medicines..drugs, you should be cautious about using Aloe Vera.
Aloe Vera with certain medicines can
cause drug contradiction and serious harmful effects.
It was seen that Aloe Vera shows interaction with certain medications. If you are taking any drug that is considered a substrate of Cytochrome P450 3A4 and CYP2D6, do not drink aloe vera juice. Aloe vera juice may increase the risk of side effects of these drugs.
Aloe Vera may also add to the effects of sevoflurane, causing excessive bleeding during surgery. If you are taking sevoflurane, check with your doctor before drinking aloe juice.
In short, you should avoid consuming Aloe vera or you should take advice of your doctor if you are on diabetes medications, sevoflurane (Ultane), Stimulant laxatives or
Warfarin (Coumadin).

2). Drug Supplement & Toxicity :-

Aloin, is a compound found in the exudate of some Aloe species and it was the common ingredient in over-the-counter (OTC) laxative products in the US until 2002 when the FDA banned it. The reason  after it was that the companies manufacturing it failed to provide the necessary safety data. Aloe Vera has toxicity due to presence of Aloin and toxicity is never good. Aloe vera has potential toxicity, with side effects occurring at some dose levels both when ingested or applied topically. Although toxicity may be less when aloin is removed by processing, Aloe vera having aloin in excess amounts may cause side effects.

3). Digestion :-

Aloe vera juice is marketed to support the health of the digestive system, but there is neither much scientific evidence nor enough regulatory approval to support this claim. The extracts and quantities typically used for such purposes appear to be dose-dependent for toxic effects. Aloin can cause harms here too.

4). Cancer Or Reproductive Toxicity :-

In the guidelines of California Proposition 65 by OEHHA along with goldenseal, it was listed that orally ingested non-decolorized aloe vera leaf extract is among "chemicals known to the state to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity".

Aloe Vera when used topically, doesn't show any significant side-effects. But, aloe vera when taken orally, may cause abdominal cramps and diarrhea which in turn can decrease the absorption of drugs. IARC  studies states ingested non-decolorized liquid aloe vera to be carcinogenic in animals, and says that it is a possible carcinogen in humans as well. Carcinogen means cancer-causing.

5). Cramps & Stomach Pain :-

Aloe Vera when taken in excessive amount can cause harmful effects on stomach. Aloe latex should be avoided and if taken then should not be used in high doses as it can cause side effects, such as stomach pain and cramps.

6). Serious Side-effects :-

Long-term use of large amounts of aloe latex might also cause diarrhea, kidney problems, blood in the urine, low potassium, muscle weakness, weight loss and heart issues.

7). Bad In Pregnancy :-

Aloe vera, either gel or latex form, should not be taken in pregnancy or during breast feeding. There are some reports of aloe causing miscarriage and birth defects. So, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding your child, don't ingest Aloe Vera.

8). Harmful Effects In Children :-

Small children should not be given Aloe Vera or precaution must be taken as children younger than 12 years old may experience abdominal pain, cramps and diarrhea.
So, It's better to avoid aloe vera incase of child use.

9). Diabetes :-

It is said that Aloe Vera is good for diabetics but on the contrary it can be bad to diabetics patients too. Some research states that aloe vera can lower down the blood sugar.
It is better to monitor blood sugar levels carefully if you orally ingesting aloe vera.

10). Certain Medical Conditions :-

It is better to avoid aloe vera if you have any medical condition like have intestinal conditions such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis or obstruction, as aloe latex is a bowel irritant.
Don’t take aloe latex if you have hemorrhoids because it could make the condition worse.

11). Kidney Failure :-

Excess of aloe latex have been linked to kidney failure and other serious conditions, so don’t take aloe latex if you have kidney problems.

12). Surgery :-

We have already read that Aloe vera can affect blood sugar levels. It can lower down blood sugar levels and could interfere with blood sugar control during and after surgery. So, stop taking aloe at least two weeks before a scheduled surgery.

13). Digioxin (Lanoxin) :-

If you are taking digoxin (Lanoxin), you should not consume aloe latex as it functions as a stimulant laxative and decreases potassium levels in the body. Low potassium levels can increase the risk of side effects when taking this medication.

As to prove benefits of Aloe vera, more evidences are required and more researches are needed similarily, to proves it's harmful effects, more studies are needed. Scientists and researchers are engaged in it and we should wait for more to come on this.

We can only say, it is better to consult your doctor before consuming Aloe vera and being a human and microbiologist, I will also recommend this :)

1).    Maintains Oral Hygiene :-

Claims are made that aloe vera can be effective as toothpaste when we talk about maintaining your oral hygiene. The benefits of Aloe Vera gel gives a soothing and refreshing feeling and promotes dental health, It moisturizes your gums and treat wounds in the mouth. Aloe vera can  eliminate the disease-causing bacteria in the mouth. An Indian study says that aloe vera could have unlimited use in the field of dentistry.

It has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it useful here.
The anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera can also play a role in treating plaque-induced gingivitis.
Aloe vera juice can also act as an efficient mouthwash, without any side effects. It had significantly reduced plaque and gingivitis in one study.

Tooth decay and diseases of the gum are very common problems today.
One of the best ways to prevent this from happening is to reduce the buildup of plaque (bacterial biofilms) on the teeth.
In a mouth rinse study of 300 healthy people, 100% pure Aloe vera juice was compared to the standard mouthwash ingredient chlorhexidine.
After 4 days of use, the Aloe vera mouth rinse was found to be just as effective as chlorhexidine in reducing dental plaque.
Another study found similar benefits of Aloe vera mouth rinse when used over a 15- to 30-day period.
Aloe vera does this by killing the plaque-producing bacterium Streptococcus mutans  in the mouth, as well as the yeast Candida albicans.
Hence, Aloe vera is helpful in gum diseases and maintains oral hygiene.

5.   Heal Mouth Ulcers And Canker Sores :-

Most of the people have experienced mouth ulcers, or canker sores, in their lives. They usually form underneath the lip, inside the mouth, and last for about 7-10 days.
Studies have found that Aloe vera treatment can accelerate the healing of mouth ulcers.

In a study of 7-days, 180 people with recurrent mouth ulcers, an Aloe vera patch applied to the area was effective in reducing the size of the ulcers.
However, it did not outperform the conventional ulcer treatment, which is corticosteroids.
In another study, Aloe vera gel not only accelerated the healing of mouth ulcers, it also reduced the pain associated with them.
If you are suffering from mouth ulcers and unable to eat also feeling pain and uncomfortable, try Aloe vera

3). Lowers The Risk Of Cancer :-

Aloe vera has antitumor and anticancer properties.
Aloe vera boosts your immune system, which indirectly helps your body fight against tumors. Studies have found that it can shrink the size of tumors and increase the survival rate of those with cancer.

According to studies published in International Immunopharmacology (1995), aloe vera polysaccharides contain some effective macrophages that produce huge volumes of nitric oxide, which has antitumor potential.
Macrophages are a type of white blood cell that engulfs and digests cellular debris, foreign substances, microbes and cancer cells. A macrophage is a type of white blood cell that cleans the body of unwanted microscopic particles, such as bacteria and dead cells. It is a type of phagocytic cell responsible for detecting, engulfing and destroying pathogens and apoptotic cells
In naturopathy, there are innumerable methods of cancer prevention and the aloe vera-based method has proven to be one of the most successful ones. However, some experts say that it may when used alone may not be very effective in advanced cases so a combination of proper herbs like spirulina, cat’s claw and advanced therapies like intravenous vitamin C  should also be included. It is always advisable to start any kind of cancer treatment after consulting a medical professional or physician.

4).    Heals The Side-effects Of Radiotherapy :-

In cancer treatment, radiotherapy is needed essentially in most cases. It is a part of cancer treatment. But, radiotherapy has many side effects.
Patients undergoing radiotherapy feel uncomfortable due to this. Topical application of aloe vera gel to the radiation area will make the patient immediately feel the soothing effect and it also accelerates the healing. If you drink its juice in such conditions, it will help you in healing the radiation burns.
Aloe latex is considered to be unsafe for consumption. It can cause gastrointestinal problems, and can be lethal in higher doses.
The aloe gel should be avoided by pregnant and breastfeeding women. It may aggravate any intestinal conditions and kidney problems. Aloe vera lowers blood sugar, so diabetics and people who are about to undergo surgery should monitor their blood sugar levels.

Side-effects Of Aloe vera - You must know about it !

5). Accelerates The Healing Of Burns :-

Aloe vera when applied typically is helpful in healing of burns.
Aloe vera is considered to be helpful in treatment for sores, particularly burns, including sunburns.
In fact, the FDA first approved Aloe vera ointment as an over-the-counter medication for skin burns back in 1959.
Studies suggest that it is an effective topical treatment for first- and second-degree burns.
Four experimental studies revealed  that Aloe vera can reduce the healing time of burns by around 9 days compared to conventional medication. It means that healing process fastened when Aloe vera was used.
No clear evidence for Aloe vera helping to heal other types of wounds are there.

6). Increase Alkalinity :-

A body with an acidic pH is an invitation for disease. A body with an acidic pH can attract disease.
It’s an atmosphere where illness thrives. You can keep your body balanced by eating and drinking alkaline foods and beverages such as aloe vera juice.
Aloe vera juice is alkaline, and hence balances your body’s pH levels.

7). Can Lower Cholesterol And Triglycerides :-

Consumption of Aloe vera when can show improvement in the blood quality and thus helps in re-balancing the other components in your blood like cholesterol and glucose.  High levels of bad cholesterol can be life threatening. It can cause heart disease. Aloe vera can lower down the cholesterol and total triglyceride content. However, researches and studies are still going on.
It also helps in maintaining blood sugar, which is why it is often used as a supplement by diabetics.

8). Cardiovascular Functioning And Heart Friendly :-

As per a report, a sample of 5,000 patients suffering from chest or heart pain for five years were given Aloe vera to take internally. Results had shown that upon consuming aloe vera, there was a reduction in the pain symptoms as told by set of patients. And not just that, they also exhibited reduced levels of cholesterol and blood sugar (in diabetic patients). I have already mentioned it in above point that Aloe vera can lower the cholesterol level down and also helps in maintaining blood sugar level or glucose level.

An Indian study conducted on rats concluded that aloe vera can mitigate heart problems that usually were a side effect of the doxorubicin which is a drug used for cancer treatment
In another study, patients with higher blood cholesterol showed a 15% decrease in their cholesterol levels post treatment with aloe vera for 12 weeks.
And another Indian study had showed the cardioprotective activity of aloe vera. Supplementation of aloe vera, along with appropriate nutritional counseling, had lowered blood pressure levels in diabetics.

As per an Iranian study, aloe vera can prevent atherosclerosis. The juice prevented fatty streak development, thereby halting plaque formation and ultimately protecting the heart.
Aloe vera had also shown to lower cholesterol levels of the liver. In the study, the group supplemented with aloe showed a 30% reduction in hepatic cholesterol levels.

Aloe vera juice also dilates the capillaries and enhances the arterial walls – and the vitamin C in aloe vera helps lower blood pressure. Vitamin C is important for the synthesis of collagen, the protein required in the blood vessels. It is an important antioxidant which is beneficial for healthy skin.
Aloe vera serves as a catalyst in the supply of blood and purifies it at the same time. This blood accelerates the delivery of oxygen to the organs in the body, thereby maximizing their functionality. Organs like the brain and the heart need oxygen compulsorily that is supported by this purified blood. Therefore, aloe vera indirectly keeps the blood fresh and free from impurities.

9). Reduces Dehydration :-

Dehydration is a condition which can cause dysfunctioning of body. You can't believe but lack of hydration can cause indigestion, headache, stomach ache and many more problems. Sometimes, we can't think, but many problems are related to dehydration. It also makes us look dull as our skin also needs to be hydrated. Our body's most part is water and aloe vera is abundant in water. So, using aloe vera is a very good way to prevent or treat dehydration. Staying hydrated helps your body detox by providing a way for you to purge and flush out impurities and toxins. During dehydration, body is unable to perform this function and due to non expulsion of toxins, we feel sick.

10). Kidney Functioning :-

Aloe vera juice is packed with nutrients which optimize your body’s organ output.
This can't be neglected as your kidneys and liver are largely responsible for the task of detoxifying your blood and producing urine. For this reason, you need to keep them healthy.
Recovery from heavy exercise also requires rehydration through the intake of extra fluids. Your body requires more fluids in order to flush and rid itself of the lactic acid buildup from exercising. Try aloe vera juice instead of coconut water after your next hard workout. It is good for proper functioning of liver and can keep kidney problems at bay.

11). Cures Menstrual Problems :-

Menstruation is a gift to females by God. It is a way to motherhood. But, certain problems faced by women these days make them feel sick and uncomfortable. They face cramps which are sometimes very painful. Taking tablets & pills is not good in this condition.
Aloe vera has been shown to be an excellent stimulant of the uterus. Intake of its juice is very beneficial during painful menstruation.

12). Heal Cold Sores :-

When aloe vera gel is applied to a cold sore a few times a day, it eases the discomfort and accelerates the healing process. It can consumed orally. Aloe vera has antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties that accelerate healing and reduce pain associated with cold sores
The amino acids and vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6 and vitamin C are also extremely helpful. One of the vitamin B6 benefits, for example, is it acts as a natural pain treatment and creates antibodies that our immune system uses to protect us.

13). Treats Nausea :-

Nausea is a condition which can occur due to many factors. It may be consuming contaminated food, having a virus or flu, or even due to chemotherapy treatments. Doctors prescribe medicines for nausea and it is always best to consult a doctor when you are feeling sick. However nowadays doctors are also prescribing natural options for treatment. But, it doesn't mean you should not go to a doctor. Always see your doctor. As far as nausea is concerned, it may originate from disorders in the stomach or in the digestive tract. Aloe vera juice is excellent for a sick stomach and makes you feel better by bringing a calm feeling throughout the body. But, it is recommended to take advice of doctor as Aloe vera can cause diarrhoea too.

14). Offers The Essential Amino Acids :-

Our body need essential amino acids. Aloe vera juice provides all the essential amino acids, which your body is unable to produce. These amino acids, apart from promoting overall health, can also help in muscle building. And because of its detoxifying effects, the juice also helps build lean muscle mass.

15). Avoides Oxidative Stress :-

Aloe vera gel is rich in vitamins like vitamin B12, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin C, niacin and folic acid. These vitamins are required for a proper functioning of your body. Our body has own defense system. Aloe vera juice keeps our body’s defensive system intact with the regular intake  and thus keeps you away from the harmful effects of oxidative stress.

16). Improves Brain Health :-

As per a study, individuals given diets including aloe vera performed better on tasks of memory recall and recognition. It reported reduced incidences of tension or low mood. These effects could be attributed to the saccharides in aloe vera. You can say that Aloe vera is a mood enhancer too.

19). Good For Skin, Hair And Beauty :-

Aloe vera is very good for skin, hair and overall beauty. It fights with skin problems and hair problems. Whether you apply it or consume it, aloe vera improves your skin and hair health.

18). Preserves Food :-

Professor Daniel Valero, from the University of Miguel Hernรกndez in Alicante, Spain performed his experiments and through his studies has proved that a thin layer of aloe vera gel can act as a natural food preservative. In the experiment, they immersed some table grapes into a bowl of aloe vera gel and then kept it in the refrigerator temperatures. The table grape without aloe vera gel went bad in 7 days, but the gelled ones stayed fresh for more than 35 days and still tasted fresh.

Many scientists say that this benefit of aloe vera can bring a new dimension to the food safety regulations around the world. Further experiments showed that dipping fruits and vegetables in aloe vera gel effectively eliminated E.coli, retained the freshness, and also extended its shelf life. The FDA has also approved it as a natural food flavoring agent.

So, these were some more health benefits of Aloe Vera. Don't forget to read next articles which will be on side - effects and some important things on it. As people are more aware about natural ingredients today, it is seen that they start consuming natural ingredients, products and herbs on their own. They never consult a doctor and neglect this fact that there may be some side - effects or harmful impacts of the natural ingredients too. They ignore that they can cause serious drug alterations too.

They can show contradiction with certain drugs and medicines if they are undergoing some treatment.

When some people only tells benefits and recommend using such products, I would never recommend to consume anything without knowing both sides of the coin. It is always advisable to see your doctor before consuming anything. Same thing applies on Aloe vera too. Yes, it is less risky to apply it topically but before consuming it, you should be aware of it's side - effects,  drug contradictions and how much amount of it you need to consume. Hello ladies !!!

In the recent times, we have seen revolution in skincare products, makeup and beauty products. Yes, revolution as now every other product  is containing  Aloe Vera  . From some years, there is so much increase in the use of Aloe Vera whether it is beauty creams , body lotions or kajals. Every there and now product claims to  contain Aloe Vera. In the recent past years, people have came to know about it's benefits. Thanks to Internet and media. Beauty products and cosmetics manufacturing companies are adding  Aloe Vera to their products or they are releasing brands with aloe vera specially.

Aloe Vera  is a succulent plant. It stores water in its leaves, which are thick and fleshy. It doesn't need too much watering or irrigation due this property and can survive for many days without irrigation. This also makes it highly beneficial. Aloe vera is very common today and can be easily grown at houses. Even I have aloe vera in my garden and i use fresh aloe vera whenever i need. When there is slight burn while cooking in kitchen, you can apply fresh aloe vera or if you oil or water getting spillover,  you can apply it. If you have acne you can use aloevera or if you want beautiful skin and hair you can apply it. I will discuss about it's beauty benefits in my beauty blog.

As I have Aloe vera at my home
I can use it anytime when I
need it.

When you have Aloe vera at home
You can get it's purest form.
So, I find it suitable to plant it at my home.

Aloe vera is very effective and has been termed as medicinal plant too. It has been used in ayurveda from many years. The leaves produce two substances. First, the gel, which is more or less water with several other nutrients mixed in, and the second is sap, which is also known as aloe latex.
Aloe latex comes from just under the plant’s skin and is yellow in color. Some aloe products are made from the whole crushed leaf, so they contain both gel and latex.

The ‘plant of immortality’, as it was called by Egyptians, also known as ‘Ghritkumari’ in Hindi, ‘Kalabanda’ in Telugu, ‘Katralai’ in Tamil, ‘Kumari’ in Malayalam, ‘Lolisara’ in Kannada, ‘Koraphada’ in Marathi, and ‘Ghrtakumari’ in Bengali can perform miracles not just for your skin, but for your hair and health as well.

Studies finding positive evidence are frequently contradicted by other studies.
Side-Effects Of Aloe Vera - You must know about it !

Some more common names of Aloe vera  are Lily of the Desert, Burn Plant, and Elephant’s Gall. It belongs to the family of succulent plants in the genus ‘Aloe’. Aloe vera is one of approximately 420 species of the genus Aloe; the botanical name of aloe vera is Aloe barbadensis miller, and it belongs to the Liliaceae family. It’s a perennial, xerophytic, succulent plant that’s green and has triangular, fleshy leaves with serrated edges. The geographic origin of aloe vera is believed to be in Sudan, and it was later introduced in the Mediterranean region and most other warm areas of the world, including Africa, Asia, India, Europe and America. It  has been used for more than 6,000 years.

The great properties and uses of this plant have been recognized by many civilizations, including the Egyptians, Spanish, Persians, Greek, Italians, Africans, Japanese and Indians. It grows best in warm, dry climates and is densely found in India, Africa, and other arid zones. This species has a wide usage in herbal medicines. The aloe vera plant has compounds such as mannans, polysaccharides, lectins, and anthraquinones that are extremely beneficial for human health.

Aloe Vera plant is often a stemless or sometimes very short-stemmed juicy plant that grows 60–100 cm (24–39 in) height and the offsets spread out wide. The leaves of this plant are thick and fleshy and the color varies from green to grey-green. Some varieties of this plant have white flecks on the upper and lower portions of the stem surfaces. The margin of the leaves is like saw-tooth and the flowers bloom during the summer. This plant can be easily grown both, indoors and outdoors.

  Nutritional Facts :-

Aloe vera is considered to be the most biologically active of the Aloe  species; astonishingly, more than 75 potentially active components have been identified in the plant, including vitamins, minerals, saccharides, amino acids, anthraquinones, enzymes, lignin, saponins and salicylic acids. It provides 20 of the 22 human-required amino acids and eight of the eight essential amino acids.
Aloe vera contains many vitamins and minerals vital for proper growth and function of all the body’s systems. Here’s an easy explanation of aloe vera’s active components:
Aloe vera contains antioxidant vitamins A, C and E — plus vitamin B12, folic acid and choline.
It contains eight enzymes, including aliiase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, bradykinase, carboxypeptidase, catalase, cellulase, lipase and peroxidase.
Minerals such as calcium, copper, selenium, chromium, manganese, magnesium, potassium, sodium and zinc are present in aloe vera.
It provides 12 anthraquinones — or compounds known as laxatives. Among these are aloin and emodin, which act as analgesics, antibacterials and antivirals.
Four fatty acids are present, including cholesterol, campesterol, beta-sisosterol and lupeol — all providing anti-inflammatory results.
The hormones called auxins and gibberellins are present; they help with healing wounds and have anti-inflammatory properties.
Aloe vera provides sugars, such as monosaccharides (glucose and fructose) and polysaccharides.
Now , let's have a look how aloe vera is beneficial for us.

Aloe vera can be consumed in the form of juice or you can eat small amount of freshly cut aloe vera without it in the morning empty stomach.

How to use Aloe Vera leaf ???

Cut the leaf. Then put it aside on a plate so that the yellow liquid coming out from it is eliminated of it's own. When you notice that yellow liquid has come out then wash the leaf thoroughly.  Now, you can cut both the side of edges and then use the gel. You can also tear the leaf roughly and scratch the gel part. You will see gel start coming out of it naturally. Now, you can use it as per your need.
Always remember that it should be consumed in a appropriate amount. Excess can be harmful. We will discuss side effects of aloe vera later.

  HEALTH BENEFITS OF ALOE VERA

1). It Improves Digestion :-

The Aloe vera juice can serve as laxative that can help in digestion. It encourages gut bacteria and regulates bowel movements. It has also been found to soothe and cure stomach ulcers.
Aloe vera juice is functional in cleansing the digestive tract.

It is important for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome . IBS is the result of formation of toxins in gastrointestinal tract. The juice or the solid part when consumed also stimulates the production of bile in the gallbladder. This results in breaking down of  the fats in the body that can otherwise get accumulated and cause constipation.
Iranian study suggests aloe vera juice can reduce abdominal pain and flatulence in patients suffering from IBS. However, more research is still required.

According to an Indian study, aloe vera is extensively used in the treatment of peptic ulcers. It exhibits antibacterial properties against H. pylori, the bacteria responsible for gastric infections.
Other Indian study suggests that the use of aloe vera for digestive ailments has no adverse effects. But a major portion of this research is based on personal experiences. Hence, more study is needed to account on this scientifically.
Though the juice can have an anti-inflammatory effect on people suffering from ulcerative colitis.
Aloe vera contains several enzymes known to help in the breakdown of sugars and fats and to keep your digestion running smoothly..
More research required.

2). Constipation :-

As already mentioned above, due to laxative properties of Aloe vera, it can help in getting rid of constipation. Excess of it can lead to diarrhoea too.
Aloe vera juice can increase the water content in your intestines. Research has shown the relationship between increasing the intestinal water content and the stimulation of peristalsis, which helps you pass stool normally.

If you’re suffering from constipation or have problems with frequent constipation, try incorporating aloe vera juice into your daily routine. Aloe also helps normalize the healthy bacteria in your gut, keeping your healthy intestinal flora balanced.

3). Liver Functioning :-

Healthy liver function is very important to be fit. Detoxification of liver is required for it's normal functioning. Aloe vera juice can help in maintaining health of your liver. Aloe vera juice is good for the liver because of it’s hydrating properties It is also rich in phytonutrients which makes it good for liver.

4). Reduces Inflammation :-

Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory which can help treat irritable bowel syndrome. According to a Mexican study, the anti-inflammatory agents in aloe vera can also treat edema. Decolorized aloe was also found to reduce skin inflammation, especially when used by specialists or physicians.

A German study told that the anti-inflammatory properties of aloe vera are beneficial on the skin. The gel (and potentially the juice too) had reduced UV-induced erythema.
Aloe vera can be helpful in reducing internal inflammation, but also the pain associated with it.

5). In Diabetes :-

A hormone called gibberellin is present in aloe vera. It can fight inflammation in individuals with diabetes.
According to a study which was conducted on diabetic animals. With aloe vera ingestion, they were able to fight inflammation better.
Some evidence in humans and animals suggests that aloe vera is able to alleviate the chronic hyperglycemia and perturbed lipid profile that are common among people with diabetes and are major risk factors for cardiovascular complications. This add natural diabetes cure to the list of aloe vera benefits.

In two related clinical trials, 72 diabetic women without drug therapy were administered one tablespoon of aloe vera gel or a placebo for six weeks. Blood glucose and serum triglyceride levels were significantly decreased with aloe vera treatment. In the second trial, the effects of aloe vera gel or placebo in combination with glibenclamide, a commonly prescribed antidiabetic medication, were investigated; this, too, resulted in significant reductions in blood glucose and serum triglyceride concentrations in the aloe vera group.

6). Boosts The Immune System :-

The enzymes present in aloe vera can break down the proteins that we eat into amino acids and turn the enzymes into fuel for every cell in the body, which enables the cells to function properly.
