We all love soups. They are not only healthy but full of tastes too. Specially, in winters, they are awesome. More often, when you want soup, either you go to some restaurant or prepare it at home. And yes, it takes time. However, homemade food is always pure and hygienic. I will talk later about homemade soup. But, now I am talking about tomato soup. Oh! It's my favorite. πŸ˜πŸ˜‹ Being vegetarian, I love tomato soup most and then vegetable soups are the soups I am fond of !

Today, I am talking about  KNORR CLASSIC THICK TOMATO SOUP .

Is it really healthy ? Is it tasty ??? To find out , plz keep reading this. Now, I want to tell you here that the things I review about in my blogs whether Beauty blog or Health blog are purchased by me and I give reviews on my own experience. These are all honest reviews. So, in today's article also, I am sharing review about knorr classic thick tomato soup that is based on my experience of using it.

  WHAT  THE  BRAND  CLAIMS ? :- 

Knorr Classic Thick Tomato Soup comes with 100% Real vegetables with no added preservatives. Brand says that great taste is in our nature & claims that they don't use preservatives in their great tasting soup just like you. Knorr choose carefully the best quality vegetables & spices to give you a restaurant like soup at home. Knorr is a brand of Unilever.

Brand says no added preservatives in knorr classic thick tomato soup.


Method of preparation -

For Sachet - 
1). Boil water according to the quantity mentioned per sachet. One sachet gives one serving.

2). Cut the sachet and empty whole into a cup or soup bowl.

3). Pour hot boiled water into the cup. Stir well with spoon. You will get sachet mixed with soup powder. Wait for few minutes and you can enjoy it now.

Make knorr classic thick tomato soup in few minutes.


For Bigger Pack -
1). Empty entire contents of pack in 4 cups of normal water (600ml.) in a pan.

Easy to make knorr classic thick tomato soup.


2). Place on the stove & bring to boil while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.

3). Simmer for 3minutes & serve hot.
This pack will serve 4 people. Knorr was giving kroutons along with soup. But, it looks like it has stopped it so, you can add crispy pan fried bread pieces & garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.

I purchase sometimes sachet and many times bigger pack than sachet that is of net weight of 53g. The price of bigger pack is ₹55. It comes in plastic packaging of green color and red color is used to highlight the content in it. All the details are written in green color.

Knorr classic thick tomato soup comes in sachet too.


It is mentioned there that the product is low in fat.

The Green box with green dot inside means the product is a vegetarian product.
Ingredients : Sugar, Maize Starch, Tomato Paste Solids(15%), Refined Wheat Flour, Edible Common Salt, Edible Vegetable Fat, Dehydrated Vegetables (Onion Powder, Leeks (1%), Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Spices & Condiments (Black Pepper (0.4%), Anti Caking Agent (551)), Flavor Enhancer (627 & 631), Thickener (415), Red Beet Juice Powder ( Anti Caking Agent (551)), Acidity Regulator (330).

Knorr classic thick tomato soup contains almost natural ingredients.


May contain traces of Soya, Milk, Mustard, Celery & Nuts.

9). Can be used at home , in journey etc. specially sachets that require only boiled water.

1). May contain traces of soya, milk, mustard, celery & nuts. So, people who are allergic to these things should avoid or be cautious.

2). No matter it is claimed to be made up of natural ingredients yet you can't say it totally natural and better than homemade.

Knorr classic thick tomato soup takes less time to cook.


3). When I first tried it, the taste was better and even the color was resembling with homemade & restaurant made soups. However, it may be possible that food colors are added in restaurants etc. sometimes. But, then also , when I purchased again the color and taste was different. It was less tastier than before and looked like orange to light red colour.

Every brand from Unilever knorr to patanjali used to make their products in different production units. These units are small or big and the production of material depends on them very much. These products are marketed by then big companies. However,  every company claims to check their product and quality assurance dept. is there to work on it.

Today, I am bringing you an exotic juice recipe that will satisfy your taste buds and is stunningly healthy too.

This recipe contains fruits and veggie that collectively give you health power. They are known for their health benefits and in this recipe, you can get benefits of all. It is not only healthy but it is very good for your beauty too. From skin health to haircare, it will provide nutrients and antioxidants that will fight against skin problems, wrinkles and fine lines, premature aging symptoms and hair problems.

I know you are eager to know about this recipe. But, believe me it is delicious and beautiful to eyes too. Oh yes! It has health benefits for eyes too.

OK OK ! I will not take much time now.
I have tried this recipe. However, I never took it from somewhere. I just made it myself and it is very easy to make. Also you can do variations to it and add much more to it. May be you find it somewhere else too because many people like me wants to experiment and honestly, it's just about sharing.

So, he we go.....

Juice with beautiful color & amazing ingredients.


 INGREDIENTS :- 

1). 2 Pomegranates medium sized

2). Some black grapes  (5-6)

3). 1 Carrot

4). 1 Apple

Juice with the goodness of pomegranate & apple.


  RECIPE :- 

1). Take all the fruits and carrot. Wash well.

2). Peel the pomegranates and take out the seeds.

3). Cut carrot and apple into chunks. Throw the apple seeds away.

4). Blend all the fruits and veggies into a blender including black grapes by adding a little water.

5). Strain the juice. You can add black salt and black pepper to it. 

And your delicious,  exotic and healthy juice is ready. This juice contains goodness of pomegranates, apple, black grapes and carrot.
Exotic,delicious & healthy juice recipe.


VARIATIONS -

1). You can also add guava to it. Throw away the seed part.

2). You can add spinach or banana or berries to it. You can also add mint to it. Beetroot is another option here to add.

You can add Beetroot to this juice.


3). You can drink it chilled by adding ice to it in summers.

4). You can add or skip the fruits the way you like. I had already mentioned fruits that you can add.

5). You can add some lemon juice too.
Add lemon juice if you like.



IMPORTANT NOTES -

1). Always take fresh fruits and carrot.

2). Do not add sugar as it is already sweet in taste depending on the fruits added. It contains natural sugar from fruits.

Do not add sugar to this juice.


3). If you are diabetic,  you are advised to not drink this juice.

4). If you are allergic to any of the fruit or carrot, do not consume it.

5). Always consult your doctor before consuming it especially if you have any health condition.

6). Drink it fresh.

When we talk about Amla oil, many of us already know that it is good for hair. The twist here is that Indian Gooseberry oil or Amla oil is also good for your health. This surprised you ? Wanna know more ???

Amla oil is the product of amla derived from the amla tree, popularly known as Indian gooseberry. It has the scientific name Phyllanthus emblica. This tree is cultivated throughout the Indian subcontinent.  Derivative products made by it such as fruit and oil, have been widespread throughout the world. The oil is made by soaking the fruit of this tree in another oil, such as coconut oil, for a few days. This plant ranks high and is used in Ayurvedic medicines due to its high content of vitamin C, polyphenolic compounds and tannins, that deliver a wide range of health benefits not only for the hair and skin but also for the rest of the body.



  :: BENEFITS AND USES OF AMLA OIL ::  

Regular use of amla oil prevents from dandruff, dry skin, hair loss, dehydration, a poor immune system, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, oxidative stress, premature aging, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes, scars, flu, cough, cold, congestion and inflammation, as well as people who are at a high risk of cancer.


1). Antioxidant Properties -

There are high levels of vitamin C, flavonoids and other antioxidants in amla oil. This makes it a very powerful fighter against oxidative stress and the negative effects of free radicals in the body. Free radicals can stimulate cell mutation and increase risk of cancer, so when consumed internally in appropriate amount, this oil can protect you from many chronic diseases.   :: HOW CAN YOU MAKE AMLA OIL AT YOUR HOME ? ::  

You can apply amla oil on your hairs.
You can also consume amla oil directly, but precautions should be taken while doing this. You should consume only limited quantities of this oil, as allergic reactions and stomach distress can occur. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consuming it.

How to make pure alla oil ?


India gooseberry or amla fruit (or powder) and extra virgin coconut oil are the main ingredients in pure amla oil. There are a number of recipes for making your own amla oil at home, including the use of amla powder, differing amounts of oil, as well as dried or fresh fruit or fresh fruit juice. However, I am telling you the simple recipes that will yield pure amla oil and which I prefer to use.
There it is -

Ingredients  are :
You can take
fresh amla fruit (grated) or amla slices or fresh amla juice.
Take extra virgin coconut oil.
Step 1 – Squeeze out the juice from the grated amla fruit or take fresh amla juice.
Step 2 – Now you can add the coconut oil to the pure amla juice.
Step 3 – You can mix these two ingredients thoroughly.
Step 4 – Heat this mixture to a low flame. Always take precaution as it contains oil.
Step 5 – Now, allow to cool.
You can apply this oil to the hair and scalp in roots following the right procedure of hair oiling. Else you can also keep it bottle. Sieve it before pouring into the bottle if you want for further use.
                          OR,
Step - 1 You can take amla slices of gratings in an iron pan. Now, you can add coconut oil or any oil into it. If you don't have any other oil, you can also add good quality of vegetable oil too.
Step - 2 Now put it on low flame heat. After sometime put off the flame and let it cool.
You can simply put amla and oil in iron container in sun heat too. But it will take long if it's winters. Also amla tends to absorb oil. However, it also works well.
Step - 3 Now, take out the oil leaving solid particles and pour it into a clean bottle to use it whenever you want.

Easy Pumpkin curry recipe.

                                                                                    


I love cooking πŸ²πŸ˜‹and also I had always helped my mommy in the kitchen in cooking whenever I was free right from childhood.In the previous post I had posted an article about pumpkin describing how beneficial it is for our health and beauty.
It is ironical that most people don't like pumpkin in food.However, it tastes well if cooked properly.
In some parts of India it is loved and is eaten with paranthas and puris. I am sharing here my recipe of pumpkin curry or pumpkin ki sabji.Hope you will enjoy it !!!

So,here is the recipe.....


   DELICIOUS PUMPKIN CURRY  πŸ˜‹  πŸ²


   Ingredients we need  :-

Pumpkin ( chopped into chunks or pieces)
Aalu or potato (chunks or pieces)
Heeng or asafoetida - a pinch
Jeera or cumin seeds- 1tsp.
Methi dana or fenugreek seeds
Saunf  (optional) - 1tsp.
Raai or sarson - 1tsp.
Cooking Oil - 2tbsp.
Haldi powder or turmeric powder 1/2tsp.
Dhaniya powder or coriander powder - as desired
Laal mirch powder or red chilli powder 1tsp. Or as desired.
Lehsun or garlic -3 kali (chopped)
Hari mirch or green chilli
Kari patta or mithi neem (optional)
Chaat masala 1/4 tsp.
Garam masala
Salt to taste
Sugar (optional)
Kachchi keri or raw mango
(Use amchur if kachchi keri not available)
Kasuri methi or dried fenugreek leaves
Hara dhaniya patti  (green coriander leaves)

    Recipe :- 

1). Take a pan.Heat oil in it.

2). Add a pinch of heeng in it.

3). Add cumin seeds or Jeera in it.

4). Add raai or sarson in it.

5). When it starts spluttering,add methi dana into it.You can also add Saunf here if you like.

6). Add chopped garlic into it.Cook until raw smell disappear.Then add haldi then dhaniya powder in it.Salt to taste.Cook it.

7). Add red chilli powder in it.Cook the masala well.Then add potatoes into it.Then green chillies (chopped).

8). Add pumpkin or kaddu pieces into it.Mix it well.You 
can add a little water if required.

9). Cover the pan with lid.Keep on stirring after small breaks until pumpkin and potato gets cooked well.

10). Check whether pumpkin is cooked or not.If cooked , then add kachchi keri chopped finely into it.Cook it for few minutes.You can also use amchur powder instead of it.Add  little bit chaat masala and garam masala powder.Add very very little amount of sugar into it.And then add kasuri methi.Mix it well !

11). Switch off the gas.Garnish kaddu ki sabji with fresh green coriander on leaves.Serve it with chapatti, puri or paranthas.
Delicious kaddu ki sabji is ready to eat.

Enjoy this tasty pumpkin curry or kaddu ki sabji.It's very simple to cook,tasty and healthy too.




   Variation and tips :




  • 1) You can add curry patta or leaves after garlic.If you want to use dried curry patta then you can add it before adding kasuri methi.Just crush dried curry leaves and then dry roast it on taxa for few seconds only on low flame and add.


  • 2). You can add ajwain into it.You can use kalaunji too if you want sweet sour taste.
  • 3). You can add saunf powder instead of saunf too if you like but then you have to add it with other masalas.I have skipped saunf in my recipe today.

  • 4). You can skip garlic.
  • 5). You can add ginger instead of garlic.
  • 6). You can change the                                                           quantity of red chilli and                                                       green chilli according to your
                                                  taste.


  • 7). You can skip sugar or add according to your taste.
  • 8). You can add amchur or lemon juice instead of kachchi keri.
