Benefits and uses of amla oil.
Do you know the benefits & uses of
Indian gooseberry oil or amla oil ?

If you really want to know about it, keep reading...
When we talk about Amla oil, many of us already know that it is good for hair. The twist here is that Indian Gooseberry oil or Amla oil is also good for your health. This surprised you ? Wanna know more ???
Here we go............

Amla oil is the product of amla derived from the amla tree, popularly known as Indian gooseberry. It has the scientific name Phyllanthus emblica. This tree is cultivated throughout the Indian subcontinent.  Derivative products made by it such as fruit and oil, have been widespread throughout the world. The oil is made by soaking the fruit of this tree in another oil, such as coconut oil, for a few days. This plant ranks high and is used in Ayurvedic medicines due to its high content of vitamin C, polyphenolic compounds and tannins, that deliver a wide range of health benefits not only for the hair and skin but also for the rest of the body.

:: BENEFITS AND USES OF AMLA OIL ::

Regular use of amla oil prevents from dandruff, dry skin, hair loss, dehydration, a poor immune system, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, oxidative stress, premature aging, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes, scars, flu, cough, cold, congestion and inflammation, as well as people who are at a high risk of cancer.

1). Antioxidant Properties -

There are high levels of vitamin C, flavonoids and other antioxidants in amla oil. This makes it a very powerful fighter against oxidative stress and the negative effects of free radicals in the body. Free radicals can stimulate cell mutation and increase risk of cancer, so when consumed internally in appropriate amount, this oil can protect you from many chronic diseases. Antioxidants present in amla juice also delays ageing.

2). Hair Care -

Amla hair oil is popularly used on the hair. Many brands of amla hair oil are available in the market. However, you can also make it by yourself at home. It can moisturize and strengthen your hairs. It also prevents infections on the scalp. Amla hair oil makes your locks shiny when regularly applied as a hair mask, scalp massage or amla is used in conditioner/shampoo. Application of amla oil on hair keeps them black in color for longer period of time on ageing.

3). Improves Heart Health -

Amla oil has proven benefits for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Amla oil contains the potassium and other anti-inflammatory compounds that can help in relieving tension in the cardiovascular system, while the healthy fatty acids can lower overall cholesterol levels, helping to protect against atherosclerosis, heart attacks, and strokes.

4). Strengthens Your Immune System -

The antibacterial potential of amla oil makes it ideal for soothing bacterial infections in the gut, cutting through colds, flu, and congestion, and generally acting as a tonic for your entire immune system.
5). Reduces Inflammation -
The fatty acids in amla oil can soothe the body from localized inflammation on joints or muscle aches to full-body inflammation, gut health and the respiratory tracts and its tissues, lubricate the joints, and help to ease the pain.

Amla oil is good for beauty & health.

5). Skin Care -

Amla oil can give your skin a healthy glow and prevent common infections and conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea and even acne.
For certain skin conditions, it is better to use pure amla oil or make your own at home, as some mixtures contain mineral oils, which can clog pores and exacerbate certain conditions. This can be a cause of concern.

6). Stops Signs Of Premature Aging -

There are some unavoidable signs of aging, including the early onset of chronic disease, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes, varicose veins and many more. It is said that regular application of this antioxidant-rich oil  can minimize the appearance of these age-related symptoms by stimulating growth and eliminating toxins. It can stop signs of premature aging.

7). Prevents Hair Loss -

Premature hair loss or hair breakage are becoming common today. If you are facing the same problem then your hair might be lacking the moisture it needs, or you may have an infection on your scalp. Amla oil boosts the strength of your hair follicles and stimulate growth.

8). Treats Dandruff -

The moisturizing and anti-inflammatory quality of this oil is excellent for the scalp, as it prevents dry skin and soothes any irritation that may be causing skin flaking and dandruff. This is also why amla oil is so important for other areas of skin, as it can lock in moisture, protecting you against topical infections and inflammation.

:: How Does Amla Oil (or Indian Gooseberry Oil ) help hair ??? ::

Amla oil is an excellent remedy for the hair because it can eliminate dandruff, boost hair strength, protect against infection, act as a conditioner and improve the appearance of your hair. With a rich supply of healthy fatty acids, in addition to flavonoids, antioxidants, vitamins and other active compounds, amla oil can quickly remedy any issues you may be having with your hair.

The emollient, moisturizing properties of this oil help lock moisture into the hair to improve its appearance, while also protecting the scalp against the dry skin (which leads to dandruff). By adding a few drops of amla oil into your shampoo, or buying a natural conditioner that contains amla oil, you can add extra luster to your locks and protect your follicles from oxidative stress. This can eliminate premature hair loss and protect against possible infections, thanks to the immune-boosting properties of this legendary oil.

You can buy amla oil online too on Amazon.
Various brands like Dabur amla oil and bajaj amla oil are available in the market and online too.

:: HOW CAN YOU MAKE AMLA OIL AT YOUR HOME ? ::

You can apply amla oil on your hairs.
You can also consume amla oil directly, but precautions should be taken while doing this. You should consume only limited quantities of this oil, as allergic reactions and stomach distress can occur. It is advisable to consult your doctor before consuming it.

How to make pure alla oil ?

India gooseberry or amla fruit (or powder) and extra virgin coconut oil are the main ingredients in pure amla oil. There are a number of recipes for making your own amla oil at home, including the use of amla powder, differing amounts of oil, as well as dried or fresh fruit or fresh fruit juice. However, I am telling you the simple recipes that will yield pure amla oil and which I prefer to use.
There it is -

Ingredients  are :
You can take
fresh amla fruit (grated) or amla slices or fresh amla juice.
Take extra virgin coconut oil.
Step 1 – Squeeze out the juice from the grated amla fruit or take fresh amla juice.
Step 2 – Now you can add the coconut oil to the pure amla juice.
Step 3 – You can mix these two ingredients thoroughly.
Step 4 – Heat this mixture to a low flame. Always take precaution as it contains oil.
Step 5 – Now, allow to cool.
You can apply this oil to the hair and scalp in roots following the right procedure of hair oiling. Else you can also keep it bottle. Sieve it before pouring into the bottle if you want for further use.
                          OR,
Step - 1 You can take amla slices of gratings in an iron pan. Now, you can add coconut oil or any oil into it. If you don't have any other oil, you can also add good quality of vegetable oil too.
Step - 2 Now put it on low flame heat. After sometime put off the flame and let it cool.
You can simply put amla and oil in iron container in sun heat too. But it will take long if it's winters. Also amla tends to absorb oil. However, it also works well.
Step - 3 Now, take out the oil leaving solid particles and pour it into a clean bottle to use it whenever you want.

A research says that the seeds of the apricot fruit contain a substance called laetrile, which may be helpful in the treatment and prevention of cancer. Laetrile is also known as Vitamin B17. In the year 1920s, the  idea was found for the first time. The  idea was that the substance extracted from apricot seeds can reduce tumors. This idea was developed by Dr. Ernst Krebb, a doctor from San Francisco. On further studies and researches, he found that using amygdalin, an extract obtained from apricot seed kernels could be too dangerous for humans to use. Twenty years later, a safer version of this substance was synthesised.

Apricot seed oil prevents from cancer.

There are four substances present in amygdalin – two types of glucose, benzaldehyde, and cyanide. Of course, it is known that free or released pure molecules of benzaldehyde and cyanide are poisonous only. Many foods that contain cyanide are safe to be consumed as this substance is locked as a component of another molecule.
Rhodanese enzyme present in normal cells, can capture cyanide molecules that are free and make them harmless by binding them with sulfur. In this state, when the cyanide is bound to sulfur, it gets converted to a neutral substance known as cyanate. It will then be able to pass through the urine easily without causing any harm to the normal cells.

A very good property of any massage oil is that it should get absorbed quickly and easily by the skin.
